Hi, I'm Wenyi.

I'm passionate about using research to understand real-world problems and ideate designs to solve them. I believe effective design starts with a thorough understanding of people's thoughts and needs. 

As a graduate student in Psychology at the University of Southern California, my research focus on exploring social media equity and young people's experiences with digital media. My goal is to empower use of social media tools for underrepresented youth. Moreover, I hope to utilize my research skills to practical settings and generate insights that bridge the gap between user’s needs and actual products. 

I hold a Cognitive Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to starting my graduate school, I gained experience in the field as a  a research consultant at USC Career Center, and as a UX Researcher at Neuroleap and Eco Fusion.
